Transforming bystanders into UPstanders
Among other tenets, the Scout Law requires that a Scout is KIND. To reinforce this principle, Circle Ten Council has started an anti-bullying initiative with a goal of creating a “bullying-free” culture in Scouting in our 24-county service area that covers North Texas and southern Oklahoma.
This update highlights our summer camp staff leader training sessions. Thousands of youth will participate in summer camp activities at our local camps and we are pleased to share that every one of their staff members has been trained to recognize, respond, and report bullying.
A special thank you goes to Lawrence and Karla Steinberg for investing in this initiative. At Circle Ten Council, we are transforming bystanders into UPstanders.
